The Ar Y Blaen! Vision Refocussed
This website is updated on weekdays only, and whilst it cannot respond immediately to feedback visitors can phone or text to the editor on 0750 6138442. There is a 'letters to the editor' facility on the blog page (linked here) for user comments, moderated to protect Aryblæn from any potential libel or obscene language but all comments are published in good faith subject to editorial moderation as outlined. The growth of Aryblæn into more of an arts and music based fanzine makes an element of 'user generated content' more appropriate than the drier match reporting that formed the basis of previous editions and this is intended to broaden the appeal of both Aryblæn and thereby Nomads. The myspace and youtube channels will change to reflect this growth with some videos linked directly onto Aryblæn pages and coverage will extend to embrace arts and musical performances. To add a forthcoming gig or arts event or review, or a match report or a link to any related websites, contact Aryblæn.
Aryblæn is a long term project, centred on the development of a series of short inter-related short stories and artefacts building into a portfolio in various media including natural found materials, photographs, short films and some canvasses. Aryblæn occasionally features images related to some of these stories and artefacts (for eventual exhibition), all of which are themed or located in Deeside. Other individuals or groups interested in collaboration can contact Aryblæn.
Deeside Film Festival will present a short local tour of events in 2008 including live music, disco dances, film screenings and any other performances or presentations by Deeside artists and community organisations who may wish to participate, intended to encourage a sense of community and local identity. Details, contact Aryblæn.

Thank you to all of the several thousand visitors who have logged on to Aryblaen! since its launch as part of a media course at Deeside College in 2000, and in particular to their Head of Arts and Media Mark Wells, and to Connah's Quay Nomads FC (Bobby Hunter) for his encouragement with the Nomads element 2000-8, and now concluded, although there will undoubtedly be some contact and co-operation with the re-incarnated club GAP Connah's Quay ("The Nomads"). The overall Aryblæn! project represents the vocation, development and work of an artist/writer (Peter Wright) and occasionally that of his (my) associates, of which the Nomads element is more akin to a hobby. |
